I visited Sidewood Estate Restaurant for lunch on a Friday. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which I really appreciated. The place was quite full at the time, so the atmosphere was lively. However, the food took quite a long time to arrive, which was a bit disappointing. Overall, a nice spot with good service, but the waiting time could definitely be improved.

Unreliable . Made a booking, which was confirmed by Sidewood . The following day they gave away our table to “a larger group!” . Unprofessional service!

We had the most amazing girls lunch here! Food superb! Atmosphere outstanding. Service by Leonie was awesome! Unfortunately the person that took over from Leonie was disappointing. Forgot to ask us if we wanted desert and it was nearly too late when I went up to ask as Chef ready to leave and she argued with us about take away boxes for our pizza's. She spoilt the fantastic experience!

Held a rather disappointing function for 55 there. At around $200/head it just didn't deliver. Poor organisation beforehand, our team were having to constantly chase emails and answers, and poor execution on the day. There was no function manager who greeted us. The welcome drinks weren't ready on arrival [glasses of bubbles were pre-arranged], there was no menu for the day, it was a disjointed service, no explanation of the meals just plonked down randomly and no one checking if you wanted a drink. It was just reactionary all day. After spending over $10k, left to feel like we were ripped off. Food was very basic in style, with only one side served when we had paid for two. Left to pour our own wines and water the whole day, which at that cost is not exactly great service. As the one who was paying, nobody every asked me if I wanted a drink in the 5 hours that we were there, having to flag people down or go up to the bar. I would recommend you avoid Sidewood for any sort of function and spend your money elsewhere.

Our records show that a detailed run sheet was provided and approved ahead of time, and our restaurant manager greeted your assistant on arrival to remain available throughout the event. Additional staff were also allocated to support service on the day. While your final guest numbers were reduced from 70 to 55, the exclusive hire of the decking area required a minimum spend of $10,500, which naturally affected the per‑head cost. To help streamline service, our team recommended a drinks package, though we understood you preferred bar service on consumption. Wines were placed on tables to assist, and our staff worked to accommodate requests outside the menu. Drink menus were also promptly provided once noted.
