The Pearl Resort, Spa & Golf Course

We spent the last 10 days at the pearl (checked out Dec.04). The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to help. We had a special dinner for our 50th wedding anniversary and it was amazing. We felt the weak points were the food menu and rooms. It rained very hard one day and we had water leaking in the ceiling and patio door. Overall the resort does need to improve on their menu choices.

I'd like to share my disappointment with the level of service me and my family were met with. Apart from the lady at the reception upon check in and a John from a catered event, everyone else didn't bother to show any sense of customer service and instead acting as though we, as guests were an inconvenience. This was observed from staff at the breakfast area to those at the pool/activities desk - issuing pool towels (unless this is how you treat local guests only?). The pool towels are also very old with a weird smell. Please do better - improve your service because as locals we pay more than FJ$400 to stay here and clearly its not worth the price with such service.
