I had such a wonderful experience at Brides to Be! From the moment I walked in, the team made me feel so comfortable and special. They really listened to what I was looking for and helped me find the perfect dress — one that I absolutely love and felt amazing in on the day. I had the most incredible experience at Brides to Be with the lovely owner Claire. From the moment I walked in, I felt so welcome and understood. I explained that I was looking for something really classic and timeless, but was also open-minded about exploring different styles and finding what truly suited me. Claire was so patient, kind, and never once made me feel pressured, just genuinely supportive and excited for me. Then I tried on the dress… and I knew. It was everything I had ever dreamed of. I felt beautiful, confident, and most importantly, like me. The price tag gave me a moment of pause, but after taking some time out with my wonderful mother-in-law over lunch, I knew in my heart I had to make it happen. This was the dress I would marry the love of my life in. As a full-time stay-at-home mum to two beautiful children, I rarely buy things just for me, but this dress is, without a doubt, the most special and treasured purchase I’ve ever made. The entire day was emotional, magical, and so meaningful, and I have Claire and the lovely team at Brides to Be to thank for that. If you're looking for a truly supportive, personal, and beautiful bridal experience, I couldn’t recommend Claire and Brides to Be more highly. i could not reccomend these guys more. leanne (who has sadly left now, ive heard) was incredible and made me feel so comfortable and powerful when trying to find my perfect dress. there was no pressure to buy something, i was given the information i needed to make my decision without the need for a sale. naturally, as a bride, i went to many places to try on many dresses in order to find “the one”. the service here is unmatched and i couldnt recommend it more.

I’m writing this review with a sense of deep disappointment regarding my experience with Brides to Be, Somersby. I had visited the store on several occasions over a number of months, trying on one particular dress that I was strongly considering for my wedding in April 2026. While it was over my original budget, I was seriously contemplating the purchase and was transparent with staff about my situation. I explained that I was waiting for my mother to visit from the UK in April 2025 so she could see the dress before I officially committed. Only four days prior to my appointment, I received an email stating that the price of the dress had increased by $400. I was told this was due to a "designer-wide" increase across all Justin Alexander gowns. This sudden price hike, with no prior warning or opportunity to secure the original price (despite the store being fully aware of my timeline), felt deeply unfair. Had I been informed in advance, I could have made arrangements to pay the deposit earlier. After calling several other bridal shops, none had heard of any such across-the-board price increase from the designer — raising serious concerns about the transparency and integrity of the pricing I was given. Ultimately, I purchased the exact same gown (brand new) elsewhere for over $1,000 cheaper than B2B quoted me and had a far more positive experience. I would strongly encourage future brides to approach with caution, and ensure that any pricing or timelines discussed are confirmed in writing. Shopping for a wedding dress should be a joyful and memorable experience — sadly, this was not the case here.

The ladies at Brides to be are so amazing to work with, they put me at ease from the minute I entered their store. As a plus size bride I was dreading trying on dresses, but they had a wide selection to choose from and they were all stunning dresses. I felt so beautiful on my wedding day and everyone commented on how beautiful my dress was. I would highly recommend the ladies at brides to be!
