There are some songs I really don't want played at our wedding but I know some of my family will request it. Can I give our DJ a list of these songs - but how do they handle it with the guests? Mercury Entertainment Group 0 Great question!  I would always recommend having a do not play list as there is so much great music to play, its fine to leave some things out.  I would also say though if you are not fussed if songs you don't like get played, go with that too as there will be times you may not be on the dance floor but your guests are and they might really vibe to some songs that you may not. When it comes to your guests requesting songs that you have on your do not play list, its fine for the DJ to politely say the couple didn't want this song unforunately.  The guest is usually fine with this.
