Sirromet Winery

Day on the Green with Jimmy and Co was up there with one of the best music events we've attended. We had a fantastic night, credit to the organisers and artists, Jimmy blew the whole crowd away! The drink and food options were plentiful, the sound was as good as I've heard for an outdoor venue, however, the toilets did struggle with the numbers, but we're ok. We decided to make a move towards the carpark guessing it was close to end of Jimmy's set, turned out a good move, as we got to our car and drove straight out before the so called crush, which I had been informed does occur at Sirromet on a big night. Overall a magnificent experience, will be back to do a winery and lunch tour!

Great concert. Amenities were good. Organisation for leaving the venue after parking needs some major attention. Very disorganised.

We've been in this area over 14 years...why haven't we been there more often?..THANK YOU to the wonderful Lilliana Abbas, who answered my trillion emails; to reserve a table for my 70th yesterday!.The food /wine was PERFECT (even for coeliacs). All our friends & family said how they loved it all! Thank you is never enough, but certainly 5 STARS you do deserve! Absolutely perfect in every way <3! I'd love to return every single week! Every bit was Gluten free safe for my daughter and myself! I was very impressed with emails, and helpful Staff <3 They are GOLD!

The security company at the Jimmy Barnes concert was totally ineffective at their job. It made for a very unsafe environment. Aisles were blocked by people running to the front and security did nothing about it. You could not leave your seat and if there had have been an emergency, you wouldn’t have gotten out. They did not police smoking at all. People were smoking everywhere outside the smoking area. They did not check bags properly. They had massive crowds leaving through a tiny gate, causing a crush. When security was asked for help regarding the smoking or the blocking of the aisles, they did nothing. But they did make a group of 4 old ladies move their blanket because they were sitting too high on the hill!!

DO NOT ATTEND CONCERTS HERE - VERY UNSAFE AND DO NOT FOLLOW THEIR OWN SAFETY REGULATIONS. At the concert last night, the whole exit aisle was blocked for the entirety of the headline performance as people from the very back rows of the sitting area all rushed forward and filled all the vertical exit aisles used for safe entry and exit. We were seated in Row 2 and couldn't physically get in and out of our aisle as it was totally blocked for at least 10-15 rows back. I pushed through because I needed the toilet and I reported the blocked aisle to security and he completely dismissed me. When I returned, I saw the issue wasn't resolved and asked the same security what happened and he basically just went "yea they're not allowed... but can't really do anything"... Um, you're security? Maybe tell them to go back to their allocated seats? I tried another nearby security and he said "tell the person in that row"... Ah yea... already did that. They literally couldn't have cared less. So I had to try to get back myself through the people illegally standing in the aisle instead of at their own seats and they wouldn't even let me through TO MY PURCHASED SEAT. I had to push and yell to just walk down an exit/entry aisle that should have been clear to get to Row 2. Even the wristbands we were given said “PLEASE REMAIN IN, OR IN FRONT OF YOUR SEAT DURING PERFORMANCE". It was abundantly clear. You couldn't come from Row Z and stand in the exit aisle next to Row A... blocking our safe entry and exit. I've been to hundreds of concerts and the aisles are ALWAYS a no-go zone. Security are always VERY QUICK to send people back who try to stand in aisles. I have no idea what these security were thinking at Sirromet last night... just collecting their pay and doing nothing. I felt so unsafe and stuck and was scared of needing the toilet again because I knew I couldn't get in and out. I was also worried if there was an emergency, I wouldn't be able to get out... so it really hampered my enjoyment of the concert which would have been really good but for the venue staff. So angry and disappointed this was my experience... and it would have been so easy to fix if the security had have just done their jobs.
