⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A truly unforgettable escape From the moment we arrived at Amaroo Retreat and Spa, we were wrapped in the tranquility of the bush. The sound of kookaburras laughing nearby and a soft mid-November breeze set the perfect tone. Although we arrived before our check-in time and were more than happy to relax in the lounge, the gorgeous receptionist, Rithmi, had other ideas. She promptly alerted the chalet team while pouring us a cheeky mimosa, and less than 15 minutes later—with a beaming smile—she returned to let us know our private getaway was ready for our two-night honeymoon. We were escorted to our chalet where a bottle of prosecco sat on ice alongside a beautiful handwritten note from the team congratulating us on our wedding the day before. The room was nothing short of stunning—simple, elegant, peaceful, and most importantly, blissfully private. Our own secluded slice of heavenly bushland. Catering to Coeliac Dietary Needs As a coeliac guest, dining out can often feel like a gamble—but at Amaroo, it felt completely safe, supported, and genuinely cared for. Not only were there gluten-free options available at every meal, but they were delicious, beautifully presented, and thoughtfully prepared. The chefs created dishes that didn’t feel like compromises—just incredible food. Even during the Degustation Under the Stars, each course was seamlessly adapted without losing any flavour, artistry, or experience. It was one of the rare times my wife and I could fully relax and savour every bite without stress. Amaroo’s attention to dietary needs is exceptional and deeply appreciated. That evening, we had booked the much-anticipated Degustation Under the Stars, and it absolutely delivered. Six decadent courses of aromatic, flavour-infused dishes were served by some of the loveliest team members you could hope for. The Dark Cherry French Martini? To die for. As the sun set, the plush blankets thoughtfully draped over our chairs were the perfect touch as the cool night air settled in. This is, without a doubt, a must-do experience. The next morning began with a delicious breakfast at The Lounge before we spent the day soaking up (a little too much!) sun by the pool. Ellie, who had served us the night before, greeted us again with her warm, attentive presence. She ensured we had cocktails by the pool and kindly organised grazing boards to be delivered to our room later in the day. There is truly nothing like sitting on your private verandah—spa bath bubbling away on the deck—watching the local kangaroo families, joeys and all, nibble on their afternoon snacks while you enjoy cocktails and local produce. Speaking of local produce, a special mention must go to the house-blend dukkah… I asked for it at every opportunity because it is divine. For our second (and sadly final) dinner, we dined at The Lounge. We were looked after by Luke, a lovely young man who was friendly, attentive, and an absolute joy to chat with. The food was, once again, exceptional. The chefs at Amaroo truly know their craft—beautifully balanced flavours, generous portions, and dishes that left us wanting for nothing. As I write this review—sitting poolside on our final morning after another delicious breakfast—I can honestly say this stay has been everything we hoped for and so much more. Before signing off, I need to make a very special mention of Lili, whom we met on our first evening while watching kangaroos and bunnies outside the onsite spa. She immediately made sure we had prosecco in hand before leading us back to enjoy the wildlife. It wasn’t until later that we learned she is Amaroo’s Operations Manager. Amaroo is incredibly lucky to have her—she speaks with such passion for the retreat, the land, and her team. Her leadership was felt in every interaction we had throughout our stay. Would I recommend Amaroo Retreat and Spa? YES. Wholeheartedly. A huge, heartfelt thank you to every single team member. We will absolutely be returning to your slice of bushland heaven. ✨🤍

My mum and I had a lovely time at Amaroo retreat and spa! Angie and Amber were gentle and efficient with our facials and massages and we felt refreshed and rejuvenated after. Would highly recommend the Amaroo experience to anyone wanting a pampering session. The ladies at reception Aly, Sarah and Nicola were warm, welcoming, friendly and professional. They made us feel right at home at the retreat when they served us our welcome drinks and carried our bags to our chalet. They even told us about the kangaroos and bunny rabbits in the vicinity which we were lucky to see! The manager Lily and waitstaff Melanie were very attentive and approachable and made sure we had everything we needed at our Melbourne Cup lunch and breakfast the next morning. They did a wonderful job organising the Melbourne Cup lunch which we thoroughly enjoyed and we will definitely come back for another fun and relaxing girls trip. Thanks to the Amaroo team for a wonderful experience and we look forward to seeing all the staff again soon!
