Is this a pet friendly place?
Hi Anne-Maree, sorry but due to our wildlife, we don't allow domestic animals in the Garden.
Hi Two Bunya Pine trees at the back of our place have just had a bumper harvest of pine cones. Do you want any for your seed bank. Regards Ian
Hi Ian, sorry for the delayed response. If you have some cones, we would be happy to receive them. If you are able to deliver them to our visitor centre (open 7 days a week 9am-4pm) our research team can collect them from there. Many thanks for your kind offer.
What's people's favourite sections, I'm going next week but I won't have unlimited time unfortunately, want to make most of the time. Thank You
I've only been there 3 times but i was focused on working the stalls at the market so i didn't have much time for sightseeing. The markets are fun themselves but there are 2 sections i noticed and enjoyed looking at. The lake on the left to the markets and the huge unmissable fancy garden on the right are great for taking photos or even just to look at and chill for a while. So far those are my favourites
Are there any shady walks to do on hot days?
Yes. The stolen generations walk goes through Cumberland forest that's well shaded.
Are drones allowed to fly?
No
Could you please tell me the entry fee? And group discounts of 40 ppl or more? Thankyou
Hi Michelle, there is no entry fee to the Garden. If you are bring 40 people and looking at holding a picnic here, there are free picnic shelters to use, however they are often booked out (for a fee) but you can see if they are booked or not by checking the sign on the shelter. Otherwise if you are organising a family gathering (picnic, party BBQ, etc), we highly recommend hiring a shelter. For more information on this look under Venue Hire on our website www.australianbotanicgarden.com.au
