Blue mountains hotel within beautiful grounds and nice mountain views. I was hoping for luxury based on other Fairmont hotels but this hotel is not luxury, sadly it looks tired and dated inside and out and is in need of refurbishing to bring it back to its undoubted former glory. The hotel has huge grounds and lots of interesting outdoor activities and facilities for children so it would be great for casual family stays. The beds and rooms were comfortable with a green view, there is an indoor and outdoor pool and a gym and spa. The breakfast was underwhelming both in quality and choices on the buffet. The lobby bar did good cocktails and light snacks with a nice view. There was another pub with views but it was closed.

Well located near natural trails, however the rooms and toilets very old and not comfortable. Also the food was great excellent chefs. The serving team in the embers grill restaurant need more training.

Although staff were very friendly, attentive and helpful, the room was average and not what you'd expect from a "resort". Soundproofing was the main problem. We were able to hear every word spoken from the room next door and people in the corridor outside the room. There were a lot of hyperactive children with irresponsible parents. The view from the window was of one bush and a wall. We were told the EV charger would be working but it was out of order and Exploren said they had reported it to the two months prior. They were waiting for the resort to get it back online. The bar fridge contained one tiny long life milk and nothing else. No snack or drink options to purchase, no cold glasses, just that lonely, little milk. On the positive side, the bed and pillows were very comfortable.
