Raffertys Resort

If there was zero stars this place would receive it. Where do I start? On the phone when booking you are told that on the day you are able to check in earlier and advised that there would be an allocated spot and garage parking. The first receptionist told us we have a garage and allocated spot until this so called “property manager” jumped in and said no garage. Once again, we were told there was in fact no garage but two allocated spots. The property manager advised that the earliest check in was 1pm (we were told 11am on the phone) and got told that we made up the conversation on the phone as there was only two people who answered phones and it was the two at the reception. In other words, we were told indirectly that we were making up stories. Imagine our surprise when we came to the cottage and there was in fact no designated spots or somewhere to park your car. The two visitor parking spots were already taken. We ended up parking on the grass area to get told off by a neighbour that it is “her spot”. When we called the complaints line of the resort, we were told there was no spot. The cottage was dirty with dead bugs on the floor, stains on the carpet and linen, the cupboards smelt of mound and it was overall as disgusting as the so called “property managers” attitude. The pools are disgusting and the whole place is outdated and in need of serious work. 4 stars? What a joke. Save yourself $400+ a night and stay at a proper resort or hotel. Never again.

Great place for families to have a break. 4 pools, 4 lots of tennis courts, boat ramp, pub with TAB & a function centre for weddings etc.

We recently stayed at Raffertys Resort and unfortunately the cottage we were given was very old, with a strong enclosed, mouldy smell that made it uncomfortable to stay in. The garage was locked, so we weren’t provided with a car space, and parking around the resort was quite difficult to find. Communication was awful. I sent several emails before our stay and received no reply, which was really frustrating. The pools were lovely and well-maintained, but only opening from 9am was a bit inconvenient, especially for early risers. There was also nowhere onsite to buy a morning coffee. On the positive side, the tennis court and facilities were great, and the BBQ areas were clean and enjoyable. The water sports activities looked fun. Overall, the resort has potential, but the accommodation, communication, and some key amenities really need improvement.

We got married here 4yrs ago and just spent the weekend here celebrating our anniversary. Still a 10/10. Perfect location. The Tavern is a nice touch but it's a shame the cafe & restaurant by the pool is closed permanently. There is no coffee onsite which I was so happy about otherwise I would have never discovered this awesome hidden gem called Nords Wharf Trading Post cafe - only a few minutes drive, go there for all your breakfast needs/wants. Trust me - you WILL NOT REGRET IT. Yum.
